What is the difference between a trailer and a teaser trailer?

A Teaser trailer, just what it describes in its name; is a teaser of an upcoming film about to be released, This tends to be normally for big budgeted films to create more hype to the film and the teaser trailer shows shots of the film without giving a rough plot yet as the actual trailer that gets shown after gives the audience more information. A Trailer is just used to bring the audience’s attention to this new releasing film. The Teaser Trailer basically advertises an upcoming film, television program, video game or something along those media lines, and they tend to be usually released long in advance of the actual main product and actual full trailers. A teaser trailer is a condensed version of a theatrical trailer intended to entice the audience. They do not reveal any significant plot details and are meant only to give a minor glimpse as what is to come. Theatrical trailers, or film trailers are film advertisements for films; they are commonly known as previews of coming attractions. A trailer is much more detailed then a teaser trailer. It may provide plenty of detail as to what the plot is about. Teaser trailers have no right or wrong time about when they should be released before the actual film it can be a couple of months to maybe even a whole year. The film teasers, unlike the theatrical trailers are much shorter in length and are normally only around 30-60 seconds and usually don’t contain that much footage from the film.  Teaser trailers are normally made when the film is still being edited or in production and as a result to this early stage they may feature some scenes or alternate versions of the scenes that are not finished in the actual film itself. People are very much involved in the internet today so the teaser trailers today are getting increasingly focused for internet downloading and the convention circuit itself. The treaser trailer are used for the simple fact of advertising and the campaign for these eds normally consist of a series of small, cryptic, challenging advertisements which anticipate and build up the release of the final product or even an important event.
Overall teaser trailers are a great example of great cinematography to be shown and to create the hype and attention to the film it happens to be advertising in the future to gain more money and credibility.
